Shared Dental Office

You are a general dental practitoner having 1,800 sq ft of dental build out accommodating five (5) chairs. The lease now has five years left until your options begin. The problem is that when you started your practice you needed the space to grow and now you find yourself using only three (3) chairs. The practice is following economic times and is slowing down. Your office expenses continue to increase, your staff has been with you for a number of years and you don’t want to loose anyone. You're faced with what to do and how to streamline the practice for the challenges of 2010.

As you begin to look for new directions or options, you need to take inventory of your physical plant. Review the utilization of your office and its potential.

After considering all the options for your practice, you realize the best and fastest potential is to lease out your two extra chairs. You have the working knowledge but lack the information needed to locate dentist that might be looking for just such an opportunity.

You will be faced with new challenges. The person you bring in must be a good fit. After all they will have full access to your dental practice. You may want to bring in a specialist who can use your staff and share those expenses.

Perhaps the biggest challenge now is to find that person of great prize. Your time will be better spent at this time to go to the professionals who already have contracted specialists, and agreements necessary to put the new relationship together.
